Most radiologist read the results from X-rays, MRI's, CT-Scans, PET scans etc...But at times radiologist hold to perform procedures basically as putting in ports surrounded by patients and helping with indubitable medical procedures. Yes, they do at times have to business with needles and IV's.
yes!! they do lots of IV studies..IVP, Contrast MRI's and CT's but the radiologist is not usually the one starting the IV, they are newly responsible for reactions to the dye. They sometimes do nozzle biopsies too!
