Do the kidneys contain any muscles? What are they and does it consist of smooth muscle?

kidneys do not contain muscle. the main function of of the kidneys is to filter the blood and produce urine. the kidneys enjoy nephrons in them that physically filter the blood near diffusion and osmosis. the byproduct is urea which is the main ingredient within urine.
on top of the kidneys are the adrenal glands. the adrenal glands are duct-less glands that are portion of the endocrine system. they release epinephrine and norepinephrine which are associated with anxiety and anger.

The kidneys are made of highly specialized tissue that filter your blood. They are passive organs, and cannot exert any force. The ureters equally, which conduct urine from the kidneys to the bladder, are made of smooth muscle.
